1984 Essays: Holocaust Denial

Also the quotes I've found are located on pages 204-205. "Who contols the past controls the future; who controls the present controls the past."
Another thing i think about is how Winston says he has to change history. I am currently looking for more page numbers.

I thought this was a good quote that pertained to the denial of the holocaust and 1984, "the past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became truth" -Winston, 1984. I'm not sure where exactly I could work it into my essay but someone else might find it useful.

EXTREMELY helpful in understanding the basics of the holocaust denial and how I could fit it together with Orwell's 1984 in an essay.
It also helps to see what the holocaust deniers focus on in their denying and see how that compares to the was history is treated. For instance, I found that they both focus on details rather than the big picure in that H.D.-ers would ask a question like "6 million Jews killed, or just 4 million?" vs. the fact that Jews were killed and in 1984, they swap between wars with Eurasia and Eastasia, only changing the name of the war, but always having the war there.
